Grameen Impact Ventures (GIV) Announces Leadership Transition

Grameen Impact Ventures (GIV) announces today a leadership transition with the departure of CEO Prabhat Labh.

“We thank Prabhat for everything he has done both for GIV and to create opportunities for women and girls in India to show up with their full power, ending poverty and hunger in their communities,” said Grameen Foundation USA CEO Zubaida Bai. “Thanks, Prabhat. We wish you the best with your next endeavor.”

GIV is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Grameen Foundation India (GFI). The GFI Board has appointed Brent Chism to serve as interim CEO of Grameen Foundation India. In this role he is also responsible for oversight of GIV. Brent is a member of the GFI Board of Directors and previously served as Interim CEO of Grameen Foundation USA as well as Executive Vice President there.

“I am honored to be asked to serve,” Brent said. “Prabhat leaves big shoes to fill. I look forward to learning more about GIV and the strategic options for this exciting social enterprise concept.”

As part of the transition, Prabhat has also resigned from the GIV Board of directors.
